Show SUTHERLAND . . Mrs. Ivan Sorensen entertained the "As ou Like It" club at her home Thursday evening. The Seagull class of the Primary under the direction ot their leader lead-er Mrs. Hofiene entertained their mothers at a party at the Hofiene home Thursday evening. Rook was played with Myrle Barney winning the high score for the girls and Mrs. Carl Theobald for the mothers. moth-ers. Mrs. Morgan May entertained Sunday afternoon in honor of her son Donald's birthday. Mr. and Mr. R. L. Turner and children came down for the graduation grad-uation exercises and are visiting here with their children. Mr. and Mrs. Turner have spent the past wjnter in Tooele. 'Mr. and Mrs. Reid Tippetts had as their guest Mrs. Tippetts' father, fa-ther, Mr. Peterson of Smithfield, Utah. Bishop and Mrs. George R. Jackson Jack-son spent Sunday visiting their children and friends here. Kay Henrie, the daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Cutler had the misfortune of breaking her arm ;n two places Monday. OAK CITYTT The school teachers, Mrs. Hey-borne, Hey-borne, Mrs. Roper and Miss Thompson, Thomp-son, took the students to the canyon can-yon Wednesday for a day's outing, very much to the delight of the students. This outing is a last treat as the school closes this week. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roper and children visited this week end m Oak City. They returned Monday to their home in Vernal. Mrs. Olyde Gardner went with them for a visit. Mrs. iJoyd Oelson and little daughter are visiting in Oak City this week. Mrs. Hannah Talbot is in the L D S hospital. Her improvement is very slow. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence East and Mr. and Mrs. E. Q. Dutson are in Salt Lake. Mrs. Dutson will be un-3er un-3er medical attention while there. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Roper are visiting vis-iting with their son Thurman and family in Wyoming. Oak City boys are well represented repre-sented at the stock show this week. They show good interest ,n their animals. |
