Show Hinckley News MARILYN PALMER Tuesday evening a benefit game was held in the high school gym between the Hinckley high school team. This was held in place of Mutual to raise funds to help pay the expenses of the M-Men. This was a wild, racing game with quite an even score. The end of the first quarter found the Hinckley Hin-ckley Mustangs 14 to 12 against the M-Men. With two faculty mem bers playing against their school team the half came out 24-21 in favor of the School team. When the buzzer sounded the end of the third quarter the high school was still ahead 39 to 35.. Then the M-Men staged a rally and tied the score up at the end of the fourth quarter. With Paul Theobald sinking some long shots, when he could keep the ball away from his brother, Merlin, the three finute period ended 51-45 for the M-Men. Mrs. Fanny Terry and her daugh ter Sybil have returned to their home here after spending part of the winter in Cedar. Mr. and Mrs. Ike R. Colby from Siguard spent a few days of last week visiting with her brothers, Al an and Lucian Keller, and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Spbr and Mr. and Mrs. William Rulsoley of Mam moth spent the week end visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Keller. While Mr. Wesley Morris was at home this week end the Morris family held a birthday party 'for his granddaughter, Janna Gail Mor ris. Mr. Morris left Monday for his work at Bingham. Mrs. Clarence Bishop of Salt Lake City has been under doctors care for the last six weeks but is feeling fine at the present time. Wanda Barnes, a former resident of Hinckley just returned to her home in Salt Lake City after visiting visit-ing with her children in Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Lee of TOD Park spent a few days of the week visiting with friends and relatives. Mrs. Lee is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Talbot. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hilton and Margene and Birdie Lou spent last Friday and Saturday in Salt Lake and American Fork shopping and visiting with relatives. Lola Wright who is enrolled at the BYU was home, over the weekend. week-end. Mr. and Mrs Don Tullis have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Tullis. Tuesday Paul Whicker went to Salt Lake and Leonard Palmer to Cedar City on state business. |
