Show Announce Change Of Ownership Of Delta Milling Co. Z . 7 V Mr. Martin Knox, owner of the Delta Milling corporation, who has managed and operated the plant for the past ten years, reports re-ports that he has sold the plant, including all machinery, buildings and grounds used heretofore by the corporation. Mr. N. L. Petersen, the purchaser, purchas-er, says plans for the immediate future have not yet been worked out, but it is anticipated to extend operations to include the feeding of livestock and the mixing of feeds for local consumption. Mr. Russell Knight, representing Kellogg feeds, is now storing and handling their product at the plant and will be associated with Mr. Petersen in developing the project. Local feed yards where hay and grain is raised in the vicinity, and livestock fed, are becoming very popular in livestock areas. A similar sim-ilar organization is now being formed for-med in Roosevelt, Utah. While there are outside interests inter-ests who have been investigating the advantages of feeding operations oper-ations in Delta, Mr. Petersen thinks the advantage should accrue to the benefit of the livestock men of this vicinity, and when plans are fully perfected it is expected that local interests will be given a chance to consider the advisability advisab-ility of forming a corporation to be managed arirl operated by local loc-al people. The services and knowledge of Mr. Knox will be available to the new corporation, as he expects to remain in Delta and operate his farm and other holdings. |
