She was unattended. The others in the reception line were formally dressed, both mothers wore corsages of pink and white Wedding Ray Illy Young Couple Miss Ora Mae Bishop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Avery Bishop, of Delta, and Richard J. May, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan May, of Sutherland, have named Friday, March 23, as their wedding day. The ceremony will be performed in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Both are recently returned mis-sionaries, Miss Bishop having ser-ved in the northern states, and Mr. May in Hawaii. They are grad-uates of Delta high school and had attended the BAC at Cedar City be fore leaving for their missions. At Sutherland Garden Club The officers of the Sutherland Garden .Club met at the home of Mrs. Elaine Turner Friday, March 3. A program for the year was planned, which included the selec-tion of a guest speaker and the garden material to be given at" each meeting. The March meeting of the club will be held in connection with the Sutherland Adult Education class. Mrs. Beth Anderson, the in-structor, will announce the date. At the close of the afternoon, '. light refreshments were served. Mr. Grant Bishop and Mrs. Fer-re- ll Walker went to Salt Lake City on Saturday to see the basketball game and to see Mr. Bishop's fath-er who is in the hospital. They re-turned from Salt Lake on Satur-day night. Mr. Bishop returned to Salt Lake to get his father on Monday. Mr. Morgan May, Richard May, Ora Mae Bishop, and Duane Erick-so- n went to Cedar City on Mon-day. Richard and Duane plan to go to school at the BAC. Mrs. Emoret Boshell and her dau ghter, Catherine, came from Okla-homa early Sunday morning to vis it her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Skidmore. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Fowles and Mr. and Mrs. El Fowles went to Salt Lake on Wednesday to shop and returned Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jensen went to Salt Lake City on Friday to see the doctor. Mr. Mel Church came from Too-ele on Saturday to stay. On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Ogden of Salt Lake came to visit Mr. A. M. Ogden, who is seriously ill at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Ogden. The Relief Society gave the program on Sunday evening. Pres. Lizette Erickson presided and Tan-ett- a Sorensen conducted. Speakers were Marie Moody and Alta Ashby. Scriptural quotations were read by Irene Brumley, Trula Abbott, Lena Steele, Vivian Ekins and Eleanor Skidmore. Golden and Deon Erick-son gave a musical reading and the Singing Mothers gave two num bers. One song, "If Ye Love Me, Keep My Commandments" was the theme of the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Deem went to Brigham City on Friday after-noon and returned Monday night. Mr. Jack Fowles came down from Salt Lake Saturday to bring some cattle down and returned on Sunday. He came back again on Monday to bring some more cattle down and returned on Mon-day night. On Monday Bert Johnson went to Salina after some coal. He re turned the same day. Then he left again Tuesday and returned Tues-day. Keith Sanford and Carl Corry left Friday night to Texas to join the Air Force. Mae H. Shipley At Sunday evening services the Relief Society furnished the pro-gram. Pres. Dainy Nielson conduct-ed the program. Misses Edith and Geneiveve An-derson spent the past week in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Anderson and little new son were Oak City visitors. Mrs. Lydia Finlinson is home from the hospital. Her daughter, Clara, from Cedar City, is staying with her. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Nielson are visiting in Oak City. Mr. Esdras Finlinson and his mo-ther, Mrs. Mary Finlinson and his daughter, , LaMae are visiting in California with Mr. and Mrs. Wel-do- n Day. Mr. Amy Faust is staying with her father while they are gone. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Roper are in California with their daughter for a few week's visit. Misses Merlene Lovell, Viola Tal bot and Laurel Anderson visited from St. George the past weekend. The Leamington MIA entertain-ed the people of Oak City with a very fine performance of their play. A large group of Oak City people enjoyed Parents' Day at Delta last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Wells of Clear-field announce the arrival of a new son, born Feb. 26th. Ray S. Bishop returned to his home in Delta Monday from Salt Lake City, where he had been in the hospital for an operation. Mrs. Blythe Taggart and mother, Mrs. Kathryn M. Pace, returned to Delta Saturday from a visit in California. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Lambert have returned to their North Tract farm, after a visit of several months in Long Beach, Cal. Carl Corry, son of Mr .and Mrs. George Corry, and Keith Sanford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sanford, of Sutherland, have enlisted in the U S. Air Force, and left Salt Lake City last Wednesday for Texas, where they will receive basic train-- ing at Lackland AFB.
