Mills, of Lynndyl, are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Sherie Adel, to Joseph Russell Dutson, son Ent' of Mr- - and Mrs- John Dutson' o Lynndyl The wedding took place Delta, in Eik0 Nevada, May 2, 1948. ' The bride is a former Delta high school student, and since the first .11II of the year has been attending South high school in Salt Lake SIOS City, where she has taken part in school activities. Mr. Dutson is a .lull graduate of Delta high school, and has been employed in Salt Lake City, where the young couple will make their home. Party Honors Newly Wedded Mr. and Mrs. Kenith Robins en-tertained at a party and shower Saturday night, honoring their son, Roland Robins, and his bride, the former Miss Less Rassmussen. The young couple were married June 2, and were returning from a short trip through the Utah parks. They left Monday for Provo, and will attend the BYU this summer, where Mr. Robins is working for his mas-ter's degree Guests were members of the family, Mr. Robins' grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Present were Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Cropper, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Pratt, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Hilton, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Ekins, Mr and Mrs. Dana Pratt, Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Cropper, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hilton, and families. Mr. and Mrs. Robins were show-ered with gifts and best wishes for their wedding. A luncheon was served at the end of the evening. joyed refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. George Stewart had many guests at their home on Sunday for a family dinner. The n people included Mr. and Mrs. Don Stewart and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Pate and son of American Fork, and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Caldwell and daugh-ter, Virginia, of Logan, as well as the family members who live here. Buddy Pate, age 6, will stay at the Stewart home during the summer months. ! Mrs. Ruth Robinson entertained the Rook Club last Thursday eve-ning. HINCKLEY .... Harriett Spendlove Mr and Mrs. Ladd Cropper and Mr. and Mrs. Hon Cropper returned Friday from a trip through Zion's canvon and from visiting friends in St. George. Mrs. Josephine Christensen and family were visitors in town last week, being here on Memorial Day. Roy Hilton was the speaker at Memorial Day services at the Hin-ckley cemetery. Some of the visit-ors m town included Celestial Mill-erbe-and family. Emerson Parry, Marv Parry, Jane Pratt and her son, Paul. Mary Bishop, Bertha Slaugh-ter, Edna Woodall, Alice Walker, Laura Webb, Rose Knight, Lydia Theobald, Nate Badger and his daughter, Genevieve, Mr. and 1Wrs. Leo Thoebald, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Theobald, Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Mc-intosh. Mr and Mrs. Merrill Stewart of Hamer, Idaho, are visiting this week at the home of his parents. Mr- and Mrs. Nephi Stewart. Next week he will return to his work, but she will visit a week with her parents in Sugarville before re-turning to her home. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Carter are touring the northwest. They spent a week visiting in Wieser, Idaho, with Cvril Nelson and have gone on to Oregon to visit with his re-latives. They will spend about 3 weeks on their trip. Dr. and Mrs. Clarence Hyatt of Chicago, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mahonri Cropper from Saturday until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Nielson had as their guests over the weekend Mr. and Mrs Charles Simpkins of Miss Kathryn Wilson visited last week in Spanish Fork and this week she is visiting in Cedar City with relatives. Saturday night will be the first of a series of open-ai- r dances tc be held in the town hall. These dances are to be held to raise money to buy playground equip-ment to put on the elementary school grounds. The hall will be in tip top shape and the floor in good condition. The walls are being washed and sprayed before then. The Jolly Workers had their first meeting Friday, June 3 at the home of Carme Rae Ekins undei the direction of Mrs. Ruth Robinsor their leader. Officers were choser as follows: Lula Marie Hilton, pres-ident; Ramona Robinson, vice pres-ident; Margene Hilton, secretary; and Anna Lee Swenson, reporter with Daren Petersen and Carme aRe Ekins as cheer leaders. Othei members include: Sylvia Bishop and Colleen Blake. Misses Beth and Nelda Prestwich are spending the summer at Zion's, where they are employed at the park. Beth is in the post office.
