Show County Agent's Column Dr. Lawrence Morris, Utah State Extension Poultryman for the past year, has accepted a position with a commercial' concern in Kansas City, Missouri. No Extension Poultryman Poul-tryman has yet been appointed. Dr. Morris came to Utah from Wyoming a year ago, succeeding Dr. Carl Frischknecht, who at the time transferred from Extension Work to residence teaching and research re-search at the college. Dr. Morris has been granted a year's leave of absence from USAC, in case he should desire to return in 1949. "The possibilities for poultry production in Utah are great and its expansion over the next few years should go ahead rapidly," he said upon leaving. "I have been in college and extension work for 20 years, and I firmly believe that the extension program is in a more favorable light and position now than it has been for many years." |
