Show DESEItET Mrs. Lucile Sampson ing cards. Monday, March 1st, a party was held in honor of Athleta Dewsnup, the occasion being her birthday. The evening was spent in playing Rook and a lovely lunch was served serv-ed to the following: Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Rowley, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Knight, and Mr. and Mrs. LaMarr Dewsnup. Waldo Black and Stanley Dewsnup, Dew-snup, who have been attending school at Logan, are home to stay. Mr. Grant Western, from Logan, spent the weekend with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Western. The Deseret Relief Society gave the program in meeting Sunday night. It was very good and enjoyed en-joyed by all. Mr. and Mrs. Manual White, (the former Carma Johnson) from North Carolina, are visiting here. Monday night, Mr. and Mrs. Mil-den Mil-den Scow entertained at a surprise sur-prise party for Stella Carling. The occasion hpinc Vipr hirthrinv TVine present were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Crafts, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Black, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hawley and Fawn Hawley. A delicious lunch was served ser-ved also. Mrs. Hulda Dewsnup spent Friday Fri-day and Saturday at Provo, Utah. Wednesday evening the Deseret Rook Club met at the home of Lillian Lil-lian Pippin. A delicious lunch was served and one high Rook was played. Those present were Norma Hansen, Arprilla Scow, Evelyn Cropper, Stella Carling, Carole War-nick, War-nick, Lucille Sampson, Erma Dean Croft and Beth Moody. High scores were held by Beth Moody, and Lucille Lu-cille Sampson. rrimary reparation meeting was held Monday night, at the home of Blanche Jensen, with Edna Tor-rens Tor-rens helping her. Blanche Crafts, from Hinckley, gave the lesson and it was very good. Afterwards, ice cream sundaes and cookies were ejoyed. The cookies were made in the shape of Shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Crafts spent a few days in Salt Lake and Prove Pro-ve last week. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Warner spent a few days in Salt Lake City Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allred spent the weekend in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dee Bennett Ben-nett and daughter, from Provo, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Jerold Bennett. Deseret's Gold and Green Ball is to be held March 19. Everyone is 'invited. Please come. Dewsnup was.held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ekins. Those present were- Mr. and Mrs. John Dewsnup, Mr. and Mrs Weldon Theobald, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Dewsnup arid Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ekins.
