Show Mrs. R. Simnson ; Mrs. Nettie Davis from San Diego is here visiting her nieces, Mrs. Jerry Nielson and Mrs. Carl Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nielson were Nephi and Springville visitors on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Roundy received re-ceived word of a little daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Smith Alvey in the Panguitch hospital. Mrs. Alvey was Betty Roundy. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Dutson are happy over the arrival of a baby girl born in the Payson hospital. All are doing nicely. Mrs. Roy Clark was a Salt Lake visitor this week. Miss Mary Coon, Judy and Cherie Mills were weekend visitors here. Lorraine and Pat Allred called a few minutes to say hello to Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Twitchell. They were on their way home to California. Calif-ornia. They had been visiting their rne jvl i. a. presented a one-act one-act play entitled "Too Much Matrimony," Mat-rimony," Tuesday evening. Members Mem-bers of the cast were Lottie Gron-ning, Gron-ning, Kay Aitken, Ruth Abegglen, Lee Shipley and Vernon Gronning, directed by Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Siple. Following the play a wedding wed-ding dance was given in honor of the Ralph Siples. Mrs. Siple was Miss Waivie Roundy. The young couple received many lovely gifts and also the good wishes of everyone. every-one. A large crowd attended. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Phillips of Cali-ente Cali-ente were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bowers over the weekend. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Golden Ivie and family, also Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Ivie of Orem, visited with their folks here, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Ivie and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Nielson. Niel-son. Mr. and Mrs. DeLong Banks and Johnnie visited with Mr. and Mrs. I sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Daly in Urbana, Illinois. Hugh Twitchell went to Salt Lake Monday Mon-day to attend the funeral of his oldest sister. Mrs. Twitchell will join him Wednesday to go on their vacation. Mrs. Lile Johnson, Ross and Connie Con-nie went to Cedar City Friday for the basketball game and also visited vis-ited with folks there. For thirtythree years I have lived in Lynndyl and occasionally a big rumor would get started that the town was going to be moved, either to Delta or Provo or some other place, but now the town is about to be done away with, and it looks like quite a number of us will have to look for a new habitation. The weatherman has been favoring favor-ing the farmers of late. We have had quite a lot of storm, a real wet snow fell this morning for which we are thankful. J. A. Banks Sunday. Mrs. Maurine Miller and children who have been here the past week returned to Provo with them. Mrs. Hattie Ivie had her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carling of Fillmore, Fill-more, also Mr. and Mrs. Brinker-hoff, Brinker-hoff, of Flowell, for the day on Sunday. Carl Ivie is able to be a-round a-round in a wheel chair now, when the weather permits. The Relief Society were in charge of the Sunday evening program. President Rhea Whatcott presiding. Three numbers were sung by the "Singing Mothers" and the readers were Wanda Roper, and LaRue Smith. Mrs. Eldon Eliason was a stake board visitor. The program was enjoyed by a good crowd. The P. T. A. organization met Monday and discussed problems pertaining to the sohool, also the conference to be held the last of March for teachers and parents. |
