Chicago business busi-ness men, fearful that the government's govern-ment's prlco fixing program will mako this a "wheatless city," have protested to Herbert C. Hoover against tho "rank discrimination." Tho Joint protest of board of trade members, bankers and railroad officials offi-cials last night was preceded by a telegram from Joseph Griffin, president presi-dent of the board of trade, declaring: "If tho schedule of prlco differentials differen-tials at which tho food control will buy wheat in differout terminal markets as published, Is authoritative, authorita-tive, it discriminate) against Chicago markets both east and west of us." The claim is made that shippers may sell wheat in practically ovory other market nt advances as high as 3 cents a bushel over Chicago prices. |
