It Is an execution against ono John Hyland, Jr., to satisfy satis-fy a judgment obtained by James Otis ot Barnstnblo, father of James Otis, tho American revolutionary pioneer. It annears that tho nrlnclnal saw mills In this section wero in thoso days located at Scltuato, and there was much trading between Sandwich and Barnstnblo. Private documents and court rocords go to show that Jnmes Otl bought lumber ot Hyland previous to 1737, and that when their business transactions closed there was p balanco ot 9 3s. Gd. In favor of Otis. Failing to got a settlement, Otis brought suit, and as tho document Just discovered shows, was awarded tho full amount of his claim with an additional ad-ditional alloAvanco of 3 for costs of court and tho writ.
