To a poultry Journal he writes: "Have been looking over my egg account ac-count for this last year, and thought It might Interest you. From 22 Barred Plymouth Rock pullets hatched In April and May, 1000, 1 received the following: December, 1900 201 eggs January, 1007 300 " February 282 '" March 600 " April 353 " May (21 pullots) 372 " June 294 " July 260 " August (20 pullctts) 250 " September 320 ' Total 3131 eggs I sold one pullet In May, lost ono in August, and October 1st sold the 20 at $1 apiece. This year I have thirty April-hatched pullets, ono ot which is laying and tho others arc looking well. I am in hopes that this year's Hock will do as well as last year's" |
