He is survived by his wife and six children, sons; Jeffery Paul, Gregory Bengt, Eric Randall, Russell Adam and Mark Mitchell. Mit-chell. A daughter Teresa Kay. He is also survived by his mother, Lelia Johnson of Provo, one brother Jay Mark Johnson, Las Vegas, three sisteres, Afton Killpack; Orem, Jeanne Flick, San Fernando, Calif, and Leone Sickles, Whittier, Calif. Funeral services were held Tuesday at one p.m. in the Parowan Third Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Parowan City Cemetery. GEORGE P. JOHNSON PAROWAN - One man was killed and another seriously injured in a freak farm accident in Parowan Valley Saturday evening. George Paul Johnson age 37, and his brother-in-law Randy Adams age 27, severely burned when a 40 foot sprinkler pipe they were moving came in contact with a high voltage power line. Both men were knocked unconscious un-conscious and when Adams revived he administered mouth to mouth resuscitation to Johnson but was unable to revive him, and he was reported dead on arrival at the Valley View Medical Center. Adams is being treated at the hospital for electrical burns and shock. He is reported in fair condition. Paul Johnson was,born May 26, 1937 in Provo, to Vernie C. and Leila Duke Johnson. He attended school there and graduated from Provo High School. He also attended at-tended CSU. He married Eleanor Adams Nov. 9, 1956 in the St. George Temple. An active member of the LDS Church he served as a scoutmaster and leader of young people for 15 years and also served as MIA president. While the family lived in Las Vegas Paul was 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric for the Las Vegas 14th Ward. Since returning to Parowan he has worked in the Sunday School |
