Show PARAGON AH NEWS parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albin Judd and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Abbott. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Talbot, Mark and Karne of Salt Lake City spent Thursday and Friday here with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Renford Talbot and Mrs. Hannah Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Thornton of Ogden arrived here on Thursday for a ten day vacation with the Earl Thorntons. Mr. and Mrs. Max Robinson and their new baby came from Salt Lake City last week to spend some time with the David Daltons. Mrs. Priscilla Steirstorfer of Portland, Oregon and Mrs. Grace Reid of Escondido, California, arrived here on Friday for an overnight visit with their aunt, Mrs. Hannah Robinson. Mrs. Gwen Jones has had a number of guests with her. Mr. and Mrs. Van Englestead and daughter, Vanice of Tuscon, Ariz, arrived or. the 24th and are visiting here and at Panguitch Lake. Mrs. Maxine Keiffer came from Bountiful. Mrs. Adele Lundy and two girls have been here from Henderson and Mr. and Mrs. Clem Englestead and daughter came from Panguitch. Gwen's family has been much upset over . the accident their brother Ray had. On Mon. of last week Ray was driving a big piece of farm , equipment when he was struck by a big truck. Mr. Englestead was catapaulted some 70 ft. through the air and landed in some soft dirt by the roadside. He suffered a bad head cut, bruised kidneys and considerable con-siderable damage to the muscles and tendons of one knee which required surgery. He was hospitalized in Provo but is expected home soon. Mrs. Iras Jones is enjoying a visit from grandson David Smith of Cedar City while the parents are on a trip to Hawaii. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Tabot of Salt Lake City arrived here on Fri. to spend the weekend. On Sat. they took grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Renford Talbot on a trip to Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks. ,Mrs. Cortella Cutler of Kanab arrived here on Tues. of last week for a ten day stay with the Sam Cutler family. Miss Kimberly Cutler arrived home on Sun. after visiting for a week with Mrs. Viola LeFevre and daughter Michelle in Salt Lake City. Miss Louise Davenport traveled to Salt Lake City on July 20 for a' visit with her brother Jerald and family and to make arrangements to enter college. Mrs. Joan Davenport and Barbara joined them on Wed. and Joan came home Sun. leaving the girls there for a By Ililma I.nmoreaux Mrs. Patty Christiansen, Charisse, Annette, Kathryn, Martin and Gary of Ridge Crest, Calif, arrived here on Sat. where part of the family will visit for a week or so at the Lagrande Robb home. Patty and Charisse, Mrs. Robb and Miss Shirley Fotheringham all left for Provo on Sun. to attend a geneology seminar. Mrs. Alda T. Robinson was out of town all week. She accompanied ac-companied family members to Navajo Lake for a camping trip. The family group present numbered 34 and with four campers and some tents they had quite a community. Included were the Burgess Robinson family of Salt Lake City. The Victor Mathesons, Burt Walkers and David Skougaards of Cedar City and the Jim Frosts from Idaho. Mrs. Kristine Thornton traveled to Salt Lake City on Sun. of last week for an overnight trip and brought Brenda and Jill Robinson from Orem on her return trip. The past weekend Kristine's sister Kathy, her husband Pat Hinkle and their daughter, Colleen of Caliente visited here. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Roundy and several of their friends all from Calif, were overnighters here on Mon. of last week. They were returning from their trip to Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo C. Robinson, Todd and josnua arrived here on the 24tn for an overnight visit with the Chester Robinsons. When they returned home, to Orem they took the other members of their family who were visiting here. Mrs. Nina Robb left for Henderson, Hen-derson, Nevada oin Friday for a ten day stay with her son Larry and his family. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Leigh and boys Richard and Craig of Plain City arrived here Saturday where Carolyn and the boys will spend the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Jones. Mr. Leigh returned home on Sunday. We are informed that ten year old Richard recently won first place in a State Archery Contest for boys eight to eleven. The competition was held in Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb left on July 28, for a month vacation trip. They went to Gallup, New Mexico to see their foster son, Adison Brown and then a leisurely tour to Minnesota to see Vivian's Mother and then on to New York to see the Hill Cumorah pageant. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Berrie and two children of Salt Lake City were here for two weeks with their grandmother, Mrs. Bertha S. Topham. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Abbott and their children of Salt Lake City visited here all week with their longer stay. Les Hulet was home from New York from Mon. to Fri. for a visit with his family, Ginger and the children drove to Salt Lake City to meet him accompanied by Paula Benson and Mrs. Cora Hulet of Parowan. Les rode in the races at Beaver on Thurs. Mr. and Mrs. David Robinson and their little daughter traveled to Tohatchi, New Mexico on Wed. to visit for a few days with Dianne's people, the Guy Bitsilly family. They took John Russell Robinson with them as far as Holbrook, Ariz, as he was going to visit a friend at Indian Wells. The Primary Merrie Miss girls held their graduation exercises Sunday afternoon after Sacrament meeting. They had a program for parents and grandparents and refreshments were served. Mrs. Delores Robinson is the leader. The graduates are Quinten Robinson, Kimberly Cutler, Barbara Davenport and Rachelle Bladh. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux traveled to Orem on Thurs. to spend a couple of days with son Robin and family. They were accompanied by granddaughters Julie Benson of Beaver and Elaina Lamoreaux of Cedar City. |
