Show Spaceship Earth is series subject The worldwide population controversy one of the most prominent problems under constant discussion today. On Wednesday, January 23, the Freedom and Responsibility series takes a look at this controversy con-troversy in "Spaceship Earth: Overcrowded, or Room for One More?" Presenting this third program of the series of nine will be Robert A. Hoover and William L. Furlong, professors profes-sors of Political Science at Utah State University. The week's presentation will begin with an Encyclopedia -Britannica f film,''tPopulation Ecology." After the film Mr. Hoover will present statistics and commentary regarding how population size and growth has impact' on the quality of life. Mr. Furlong will then discuss the religious and moral aspects of the population pop-ulation question. Mr. Furlong is widely traveled In Latin America and-Mexico and will use slides taken there to Illustrate Il-lustrate his commentary. Everyone Is welcome to attend at-tend and add their voices to the discussions at the weekly Freedom and Responsibility meetings at the SUSC Music Center, Room 206, on Wednesday Wednes-day evenings at 6:30 p.m. No admission is charged. |
