Show I KANARRAVILLE NEWS By Carma Williams March 20 the Relief Soceity held their Birthday Party at the Ward Cultural Hall' for all members and their partners. The theme was an old fashioned dinner and program. The tables were decorated with kerosene lanterns and there was a display of antique articles. Rosalie Hawkins and Vicki Williams were in charge of the decorations. President Judy Gubler was in charge of the program, a history of three ladies that lived during the American Revolution, three that were in the starting of Relief ! Society and three of Kanarra's i oldest ladies, Aunt Phebe Davies, 100 years old, Jennie Williams and Hettie Pollock. Mr. and Mrs.' Virgil Davis received word of the birth of their first great grandchild, a girl born March 21 in Taylor-sville Taylor-sville to their granddaughter Diane and Don Brietty. ' 1 Mr. and Mrs. Bevan Williams of Seattle, Wash, spent the week moving home tomorrow. Dr. Wilford R. Berry of LaHabra Calif, spent two days here with his sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and James Lovell. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mur-dock Mur-dock of Milford have moved their large mobile home here on their lot they purchased from David Beckstead. Many of the townspeople attended at-tended the Airshow in Cedar City Sat. ! Mr. and Mrs. Lance Hunting spent a few days here with their sister Mrs! Tressa Cornelius. Lance went on to Arizona and Tressa and Colleen Hall took Mrs. Huntingh back to her home in Ogden. Visitors at the home ol Alenna Berry were Mrs. Vilo Pearce, New Harmony ; Mr. and Mrs. Joe . Paxton, Hurricane; and Miss Renee Wood, Boulder City, Nev. .Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Walker visited Sunday here with their brother and sister-in-law Chester and Carma Williams. . Dr. Reubon Jones of Las . Vegas, Nev. spent the weekend here with Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Leeder and family. herewith their son and daughter-in-law Russell and Ruth Williams, Joshua and Amy. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Eastman and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Davis attended a wedding reception in Enoch Sat. for Mr. and Mrs. Curtis DeMille. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Graff of Hurricane spent the afternoon with their granddaughter Jane and Dick Nelson, Randi and Sterling. Mr. and Mrs. Truitt Morrell returned home this week after spending a week in Las Vegas where Truitt was in a Las Vegas Hospital of High Blood Pressure and heart failure. His condition is much improved. Roberta Eastman and Carma Williams spent Wed. evening in St. George visiting Jeffrey and Ellen Williams while there they all attended a session at the LDS Temple. . 1 Gordon and Carol Williams, Dorothy and Sheldon Stucki from Cedar City had birthday dinner with their mother and father Lena and Noel Williams. It was Lena's 79th birthday. She is still as sweet and lovable as ever and a faithful Relief Society member never misses quilting on every . quilt the Relief Society puts on, n (Mrs. ! Bertha " Ramos -spent several days in Valley -View Medical Center where, she received medical treatment she is much better and has returned home. Douglas Williams of Salt Lake City spent a couple of days here visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Williams. Clair Woodbury and Billy Isom have been in Valley View Medical Center this past week, both suffering with pnumonia but are greatly improved and plan on |
