Show Ram thinclads run well at Dixie Meet PAROWAN - The Parowan Rams track team opened their season Friday March 24 at Dixie. The day's activities began at 10 a.m. ' at the Dixie High Auditorium where the boys attended at-tended a track clinic designed to help them in the track events. A track meet followed the clinic at 2 p.m. with schools from Davis, Dixie, Hurricane and Parowan competing. Some of the highlights of the meet for the Rams were the mile run where Jon Robinson ran a 4:48:5 for an excellent early mark. Mike Robinson a brother to Jon leaped i'm" in the long jump to place 2nd behind a Davis high athlete. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the day came in the 440 relay when the Rams team of Kirk Matheson, Kerry Orton, Steve Johnson and Curtis Mitchell ran a 47.4 for an exceptionally ex-ceptionally good early season time. The Rams travel to Dixie again this Saturday for the Dixie Invitational. |
