Show C. Tom Mace appointed Manager of TWA Services, Parks Division officially open on May 17, Mace announced. Scotty's Castle in Death Valley was acquired by TWA Services in October of 1973. Tom Mace as General Manager of the Parks Division of TWA Services in Cedar City has been announced. He succeeds J. J. Audley who, owing to personal reasons, will not be returning to the Parks Division. The appointment was affective February 23. Mace, who joined. TWA Services Ser-vices in 1966, was serving as Manager of Operations for the Parks Division prior to the advancement. ad-vancement. LaMar Snyder, who has served as Superintendent of Lodges and Inns has assumed the position vacated by Mr. Mace. The new general manager t began his career with TWA Services as a tour escort at NASA Kennedy Space Centerin Florida in 1966. While in Florida Mace advanced to Lead Escort, Supervisor Interruptive Services, Ser-vices, Supervisor of Purchasing and as Supervisor of all visitor services at the Kennedy . Space Center. He joined the Parks Division of TWA Services in January of 1973 when the facilities at Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon were acquired from Union Pacific Railroad. He has served as Manager of Operations since that time. Mr. Audley was the first manager of the Parks Division when the acquisition was made in 1973. The new manager is a native of AnnMoore, West Virginia. He graduated from Bridgeport High School and attended West Virginia University. He married Mary Ann McShane of Bridgeport and they have two children: Tom, a high school senior and Debbie a sophomore. Both attend Cedar High School. In assuming his new position Mace also announced the relocation of the Divisions Sales offices in Las Vegas, Nev. under the management of Bob Griffis. The move was made to give the organization an opportunity to deal directly with established tour and travel agencies. He also announced that the advanced reservations for the 1976 season are the highest since TWA Services took over the facilities in the three national i parks. Several tours from Europe have been scheduled for the coming season and other special tour groups from the East are being accommodated through the arrangements made at the Las Vegas sales office, Mace indicated. With a new contract permitting continued in-park accomodations at Zion and Bryce a rennovation program is now underway and will be completed prior to the official openings in May, Mace stated. Extensive rennovation and updating of facilities should make the in-park accomodations much more pleasant than in the past, Mace emphasized. Officially the services operated by TWA Services in the three major parks are scheduled to open in May. Facilities at Zion will open May 10, those at Grand Canyon will begin operation May 13 and Bryce Canyon Lodge will |
