Show Alice Truman retires from County Schools 1 jj Mrs. Alice B. Truman, Special Education teacher at North Elementary school has announced her retir-ment, retir-ment, effective at the close of the present school year. Mrs. Truman is a graduate of Utah State University and bagan her teaching career in the town of her birth, Emery, Utah, where she taught first grade for three years. After her marriage to Woodrow Truman they moved to Blackfoot, Idaho where she again taught first them swimming lessons at the SUSC swimming pool. Mrs. Truman is the mother of five children, Judy Bolander, Las Vegas, Nevada; Scott Truman, Ferron, Utah; Patricia Isom, Danville, California, Kathleen Beals, Riverside, California, and Elaine Raber, Salt Lake City, Utah. She plans to visit her children and grandchildren and do some extensive traveling-possibly a trip to Spain is in her future plans. ALICE TRUMAN grade for three years while her husband worked in construction. Moving to Richland, Washington she taught first grade for two years. While her husband was attending University of Utah she continued her teaching career, in the Kearns, Utah school. The Trumans then moved to Cedar City where Mrs. Truman taught Special Education for 18 years. She has experienced great success with special education students, with her outstanding reading and math programs. Her Physical Education class on Friday afternoon is a highlight for her students.
