"'' V ' , ' ; i '-.J . r i f ' v Si . , Mr. and Mrs. Roy P. Urie are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Ann to James A. Blackner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Blackner, all of Cedar City. The marriage ceremony took place at the Enchanted Gardens, April 28, 1978. The bride wore a beautiful ac-cordian ac-cordian pleated crepe dress. The neckline was accented with heavy lace and pearls. The groom wore a white tuxedo. Attending the bride were Mrs. Bruce Mitchell (LaDaun), Miss DeAnn Nelson, Mrs. Charles Frank (Janis), Mrs. Alan Adams (Marie), Miss Adele Urie, Miss Pattie Ann and Miss Annette Blackner. Attending the groom were his brothers; Bruce, Brent, David, Brad Blackner, and Wayne Urie. Best man was ISvan Williams. The ushers all wore powder blue tuxedos. The bridesmaids wore blue floral crepe dresses. The mothers of the young couple wore light blue crepe dresses. The fathers were in navy blue tuxedos. Flowers were expecially made for the wedding party by a close friend of the bride, DeAnn Nelson. Acting as host and hostess for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Doug Urie. Out of town guests included in-cluded Grandma Blackner and Grandma Myers and MR. AND MRS. JAMES A. BLACKNER numerous other family members of the bride and groom. At the guest book were Paula Lambeth and Carol Adams. Helping with the gifts were Lori Stapley, Jan Webster Myers, Lynn Mitchell. Friends of Annette Blackner served the refreshments. refresh-ments. A Kitchen shower for Ann was given by Fran Leigh and Pauline Nelson; a Miscellaneous shower was given by LaDaun Mitchell, DeAnn Nelson and Leta Cowley; a home decor shower was given by her sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Blackner honeymooned in southern California for a week before returning to Cedar to make their home. |
