Show Contestants invited to Miss Teeager Pageant Among other prizes, the UTAH winner will win a One Year's Scholarship to BYU, and an All expense paid trip for five nights and six days to Atlanta, Georgia for the National Pageant. Young ladies between 13 and 17 years of age as of January 1, 1977 (Born on or after January 1, 1959) are invited to enter the sixth annual Miss Utah National A "Get-Acquainted-Party" for the Miss Utah National Teen-Ager Teen-Ager Pageant will be held at Hotel Utah at 1 p.m., February 19, 1977. All finalists and prospective contestants are welcome to attend with their parents. All must RSVP to State Teen-Ager Pageant to be held at the Hotel Utah on April 8, 9, 10, 1977. Kellie Thomson, Miss National Teen-Ager 1977, is from Bountiful, Utah and is currently traveling and making appearances ap-pearances across the nation. Contestants are judged on scholastic achievement-leadership; achievement-leadership; poise-personality; and beauty. There is no swim-suit swim-suit or talent competition. Each contestant will participate par-ticipate in the Volunteer Service Program of the National Teenager Pageant, which promotes teen involvement and participation in volunteer civic and community affairs. A Mini-Modeling Mini-Modeling Charm Course will be given during the weekend of the pageant. The Utah Pageant is the official of-ficial State preliminary to the Miss National Teen-Ager Pageant to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, August 5, 1977. In the National Pageant all 50 states and the District of Columbia are represented by winners who have been selected in state-wide competition. |
