Show SUS grapplers enter RMAC meet Southern Utah State College wrestlers will participate Friday Fri-day and Saturday in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Con-ference Wrestling Tournament at Golden, Colorado. The competition, some of the toughest in the nation, will be hosted by Colorado School of Mines at its fieldhouse. Adams State looks like the favorite to win the tournament with. Western State, University of Nebraska at Omaha, and Northern Colorado likel" to take the next three places. "I look for any other team to be fifth place this year. We have a good possibility of be- ing there or in sixth place. On any given day, the rest of the teams can be real tough," Coach Joe Lapour stated. Top men for the T-Birds look to be Pete Buatti, 118, Ladd Holman, 150, and Richard Rich-ard Tree, 167. The T-Birds finished fin-ished eighth last year with 11 points and hope to improve on that. Everyone seems to be healthy heal-thy and in good shape after a week lay-off. "I feel that we are stronger than last year and have a good chance of scoring more than we did last year," Lapour said. Traveling team this week will be Pete Buatti, 118, Bill Van, 126, Sam Machulus, 134, Herb Stinson, 142, Ladd Holman, Hol-man, 150, Lee Hunsaker, 158, Richard Tree, 167, Scott Teep-les, Teep-les, 177, John Gaither, 190, and Steve Johnson, heavyweight. |
