Show Main Street crash leaves local man in critical condition In an intersection car crash on Parowan's Main Street Monday Just before noon, a car driven by Albert Adams oi' this city, was hit broad- side by a car containing four Nevada youths. The accident resulted in critical injuries to Mr. Adams, with two the boys in the other car being taken to the hospital in cedar city also for treatment. The accident happened at the intersection of Main and 200 South Streets. Mr. Adams was reported to have been traveling west on 200 South, and the Nevada car was going go-ing south on Main street. Occupants Oc-cupants of this car were from Las Vegas, according to Bruce Bunting, city marshal, who Investigated the accident, and were supposed to have been attached to a group camping at Lake Mead. According to information released to us, Mr. Adams stopped at the stop sign and then proceeded out onto tho street right Into the path of tho Nevada car which struck him broadside. The impact of the crash sent the Adams car out of the Intersection and onto the vacant lot southwest of the intersection Mr. Adams was nurled down onto the floor of the tar between be-tween the seat and dash, and wo understand sustained a broken neck and injuries to his back. It just so happen d that Dr. David Wilkerson and Richard Barnes were available availa-ble to rush the injured to the hospital in Cedar City. Adams was treated there until Tuesday Tues-day when he was taken by ambulance to a Salt Lake hospital with his wife, Verda E. Adams accompanying him. Other members will join him today. |
