Show Mrs. Frank Jex to head city beautification The Cedar City Beautifica-tion Beautifica-tion Committee has a new Chairman, Mrs. Frank Jex. The announcement is made by Mitchell Lunt, Chairman of the Cedar , City Coordinating Council. ' ' Mrs. Jex was born and raised rais-ed In Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Can-ada. She attended elementary school and completed high school there. After High School Mrs. Jex came to Provo to live where she worked as a dental assistant. It was there that she met and married Frank Jex. They are the parents of six children. Since coming to Cedar City a few years ago, Mrs. Jex has been an active contributor to Community affairs. She has attended classes at SUSC. She has been active in PTA and has served in Church auxiliaries auxiliar-ies in many capacities. She has, through the years, contributed con-tributed over 2,000 hours to volunteer hospital work. Mrs. Jex has served as a member of the Beautification Committee for several years. In the spring of 1970, she organized or-ganized the Beautification Days Parade which was very successful in making the people peo-ple of the Community aware of the beautification goals. Mrs. Jex will succeed Delias Imlay who resigned as Chairman Chair-man but will remain on the Committe as a member. The new chairman is very beautification conscious. She reports that, in her opinion, Cedar City is located in the most beautiful setting In the world. She is anxious to mus-ter mus-ter the strength and interest of every citizen in order to preserve this beautiful setting and improve it. It will take 'Constant vigilance", to do this, she reports. The Beautification Committee Commit-tee is a working Committee of the Cedar City Coordinating Council.
