Circle K Club wins achievement award StJSC Circle K Club was awarded the General Achieve, ment Trophy at the annual Utah Idaho District Circle K Convention held at Idaho State University in Pocatello Apfill 25-27. (Circle K was awarded the trophy because of its contributions contri-butions and services to the community and the school. V4rnon Davenport, SUSC delegate dele-gate to the convention from Hacbor City, Calif., reported thlat the participating schools wbre very much Lmprossed with' the success and achievements achieve-ments of Circle K in the short time it has been on campus. Leland Fife, Cedar City, received re-ceived first place in the ora tory contest. The topic for all speakers was the 1969-70 Circle Cir-cle K theme "Confront the Issues." Is-sues." Mr. Fife also receivevd the first annual Thomas L. Williams Outstanding President Presi-dent Award. Other awards were won by Boise State College Col-lege and College of Idaho. Mr. Fife was also elected Lieutenant Governor of the South Utah District for the coming year. Schools represented repre-sented at the convention included in-cluded the College of Idaho, Boise State College, Idaho State University, Utah Technical Tech-nical College, University of Utah and Brigham Young University. |
