"Tex" Anthony, 3-sport letterman at South- em .Utah State College, will appear in the 1970 edition of I "Outstanding College Athletes j. of America," according to word received at the college ) this week by Dr. Bruce Os- borne, athletic director. t Anthony has lettered in f football basketball, and baseball base-ball at SUSC and Arizona State College, where he attended at-tended in 1961 and 1965. Prior to" graduation from Rancho i High. School in Las Vegas, Nev.;in 1964' he lettered in all thj-ee sports and was captain ; of each team. ; Befpre enrolling at SUSC ; spring quarter, 1969, he served ' an eniistrnnt in the U. S. Army, a year of which was , spent in Vietnam. .Last fall he was the lead-i lead-i ing pass receiver in football ,' j on the Thunderbird team. He " played guard position on the varsity . basketball team, and , is currently, playing shortstop and second base on the varsity varsi-ty baseball team.
