Show Play under way in Cedar Softball lissn. Nine teams are off and running in the first week of action in the Cedar City Softball Soft-ball Association, it is announced announc-ed by Cliff Reese, president. After a full week of activity three teams remain undefeated undefeat-ed and are battling for the early lead in the league, which has generated a lot of enthusiasm over the past couple of years. Standings after the first week are as follows: Won Lost Enterprise 2 0 Ken's Arco Richfield 2 0 Zion Photo 2 0 Iron County Lumber 1 1 Lin's AG 1 1 Mountain Bell 1 1 Arctic Circle 0 2 Blackburn & Gower 0 , 2 Coleman 0 2 The three top runners will be facing each other this week in action and a more clear cut lead should emerge after final fin-al play Saturday night. The Softball Association recently re-cently reorganized for the year with Reese elected for a 2nd I term as president. Also reelected re-elected as secretary and treasurer trea-surer was Roger Chambers. Three new board members, however,, are serving this season sea-son including Mike Slack, Larry Lar-ry Bliss and Weston Randall. Reese indicated that plans are being made to bring in heavy equipment and new infield in-field material to help improve the conditions of the playing field. |
