Jones While attending SUSC the bridegroom was president of Sigma Gamma Chi and on the LDSSA Council. He filled a LDS mission to Norway. Pre-nuptial courtesies included in-cluded a luncheon given by Mrs. Winoma Cowan. Wedding rites solemnized in the St. George Temple May 23 united Miss Danna Lynn Hunter and Garth Allan Jones in marriage. Arthur Barlocker officiated at the double ring ceremony . The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Haze Hunter, 295 Ridge Road, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr- and Mrs. P. Gordon Jones, 252 So. 800 W. A reception honoring the young couple was held that same evening at the home of the bride's parents. The bride wore her mother's wedding gown. It was a full length dress of ivory satin with lace trim on the puffed sleeves. The full length veil was also trimmed with lace. She carried a bouquet of white roses and a cymbidium orchid. or-chid. Miss Gay Hunter was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Misses Judee Cowan and Jolynn Peterson, and Mrs. Dee Williamson. The attendants attend-ants wore blue crepe short dresses with white pearls and white gloves. Their flowers were green cymbidium orchids. or-chids. Best man was Kent Hammond, Ham-mond, and the ushers were Kim and Steven Hunter, Doug Black, and Danny Yergenson. They and the fathers wore black tuxedos. Mrs. Hunter wore a navy blue street length dress with white trim and white gloves. Mrs. Jones wore a lime green dress with beige gloves. Both mothers wore green cymbidium cymbidi-um orchid corsages- For her going away costume the bride chose a navy blue knit dress with white trim, blue shoes, and a green cymbidium cym-bidium orchid corsage. The newlyweds honeymooned honey-mooned en route to Washington, Washing-ton, D. C. where they will make their home. The bride is a graduate of BYU where she was secretary, of the A.W.S. She taught in the Head Start Program in Phoenix. |
