And we I feel that our students have I also added much to the school and its programs during the I past year. This is proven by i tlie things they have partici-j partici-j pated in in an extra curricu-lar curricu-lar way. Their names have I emblazoned tho pages of j many of the programs put on i there. May it continue to be that way. !And, now on a more subdued sub-dued note, let us use a few lines to pay a tribute to one Ul UUl UUJfl, UU1 11131, I (J lJcl J the supreme price on the field of battle in the present con-ilict. con-ilict. Final rites for this young man were held Wednesday, giving us an opportunity to pay our last respects to one of our finest young men, Curtess ., Walker, who has given his life in a foreign land. Some time ago at a testimony meeting meet-ing we seen him stand up, bear his testimony and say he was proud to be a member of the U. S. Army. Today he is gone from our midst, not to leturn. May tho Lord give us more men of his caliber. To his young wife, Judy, we offer what we can in the way of condolence; to his parents Howard and Laura, and to his brother Kevan, we offer ; the same. Also to his grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Jenson. We don't understand it all, for this hasn't come to us, but we extend what we have to you at this hour of your great grief. He was a fine boy and a finer man and maybe your loss has done a little to make our lives a little lit-tle better. We have to look at it that way. |
