The first half play will end Friday evening. Coleman defeated Rotary 12-10 and Kiwanis 11-4 dur. ing action this week to sew up first half honors. Against Rotary Lee Holmes was on the mound for the victory and it was aided by a pair of home runs by Steven Stoker. Suffering Suf-fering the mound loss was Ricky Rollo, Kendall Smith and Stoker shared mound honors for the victory over Kiwanis and in this game it was Holmes with the big bat as he hit two ovej the fence n this contest. Kiwanis in a losing effort sent Eric Schmutz and Lee Shepherd to the mound. The loss stopped a three game winning streak for Kiwanis. Kiwanis during the week had picked up a pair of victories vic-tories before the loss to Coleman. Cole-man. Early they had defeated Spilsbury-Graff by a score of 17 to 3 and Carter Bros, by a score of 19-7. Against the Mortuary crew Schmutz was the winning pitcher and David Dav-id Wright belted a homerun. Spilsbury-Graff sent four pitchers to the mound and Rodney Wadsworth belted a homerun in the losing cause. Walker Melling was the winning pitcher against Cart er Bros, and the cause was aided with homeruns by Schmutz and Bill Engle. For Carter Bros, they sent Ronnie Monsen, Phil Bishop and Kevin Kev-in Jones to the mound in the contest. Wadsworth pitched Spilsbury-Graff to a victory over Milne 10-7 Friday evening in a game called after four innings in-nings of play. Mark Leavitt and Jeff Jensen were on the mound for the losers. Both teams had five hits in the contest Monday evening Rotary got rolling and just couldn't be stopped as they completely dominated a 36-6 win over Spilsbury-Graff. Brad Larson went all the way on the mound for the victors and the Mortuary crew sent four to the mound trying to stop the tide.' Rotary belted 26 hits, eight for extra bases in the one-sided affair- |
