Show Funds are allocated for expansion of medical center Rep. Lawrence J. Burton, R-Utah, R-Utah, announced Wednesday that financing arrangements have been completed for a $253,202 enlargement project of the Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City. The hospital provides medical and training services for a wide area of southwestern Utah, eastern Nevada and northern Arizona. Approval of $25,650 of the total cost of the project was announced by the Four Corners Corn-ers Regional Center. The funds from the Federal-State agency will help Iron County, which owns and operates the medical center, to construct a ! 16-bed unit for long-term care facilities. Iron County is providing $102,100 and the U. S. Department Depart-ment of Health, Education and Welfare, is making a $125,452 grant to complete the $253,202 total cost of the project. pro-ject. In addition to the 16 beds the funds will enable the medical center to construct dining and recreation facilities facili-ties for patients and an office for the director of nurses, according ac-cording to Rep.
