Show Prominent So. Utah civic leader dies in Pinevalley Erastus Snow Gardner, 77, long time resident of Pine-valley, Pine-valley, and prominent civic and church worker of southern south-ern Utah died in St. George hospital on June 2 following a stroke-Mr. stroke-Mr. Gardner served as state representative for Iron and Washington counties from 1943 through 1917. He was vice president of the Utah Cattlemen's Cat-tlemen's Association and director di-rector of the American National Nation-al Cattlemen's Association, and for two terms was president presi-dent of the Utah State Association Assoc-iation of Soil Conservation Districts. He was also a former Bishop of the Pinevalley LDS Ward, serving for 13 years. Ho was a brother of Mrs. Henry (Mesia) Jones of Cedar City. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted in St. George Saturday, and burial was in the St. George City Cemetery. |
