Show Cambodia Casualty Ken S. Maxwell dies in combat, services here, burial in Glendale Tenth Ward Chapel. Sgt. Maxwell, 24, was killed May 30 under hostile fire in action with the United States Army in Cambodia. Graveside services and military mil-itary rites by an Army team from Dugway Proving Grounds were conducted at the Glendale, Glen-dale, Kane County, cemetery where interment was performed. perform-ed. Sgt. Maxwell was a graduate grad-uate of Valley High School in Orderville. He also attended Southern Utah State College in Cedar Citty before entering the Army March 10, 1969. He went to Vietnam Aug- 2, 1969. He served an LDS mission in Scotland. Born Jan. 11, 1946, at Pan-guitch, Pan-guitch, to Horace William and Ivie Cox Maxwell. He married Christine Cornelius of Cedar City July 19, 1969 in the St. George LDS Temple. Survivors include his widow of Cedar City, his parents, Glendale; brothers, sisters, Thel, Jack, Delwin, Ted and Mrs. Donald (Ha May) Camp- (Continucd jwje 2 CoL 8) SGT. KEN S. Prelude and postlude post-lude music was by Deanna Norton. Posting and retiring of the colors was by the American Legion. At the Glendalo cemetery services were under the direction direc-tion of l!p. Alton R. Pugb, and included an accordion solo by Hobor Lund, Military Rites by-a by-a team from Dugway Proving Grounds and the dedication of the grave by Donald Campbell. |
