Cedar Nigh students win honors at BYU Publications workshop On August 7, four Cedar High School students traveled to Provo to participate in the annual Brigham Young University Uni-versity Publications Workshop. Work-shop. The students, all active in journalism at Cedar High were Laurel Middleton, Yearbook Year-book Editor; Sharla Fiack, Yearbook Staff; Jim Butler, Cedar Post Editor; and Alan Jones, Cedar Post Assistant Editor. The week-long workshop was devoted to learning and practice In the four main jour- writing and a second place award in editorial writing. Alan Jones won second place honors in sports writing. In the yearbook division, the students were divided up into groups where they worked on "glue pots", yearbooks made by cutting up and pasting together to-gether other yearbooks. Sharla Fiack was a member of the fourth place group.
