Show Rams lose to Beaver in first game, meet Milford Friday nigh. In their opening football game of the season, and a league game as well, the Parowan Par-owan High School Rams met the powerful team from Beaver Bea-ver at that place last Friday afternoon, and went down to a 46 to 0 score. The Rams had a very bad first half that seen the home team roll up a 32 point margin, with the inexperienced inex-perienced Parowan squad unable un-able to hold them. In the second half after the trip to the dressing room the Ram players came out and with a change in play style and determination, held the powerful Beavers to 14 points in the two periods. But the visiting team was still unable to get on the score board, being be-ing held well back from the goal line by the Beaver defensive de-fensive wall. According to the daily paper pap-er report of Beaver using all members of its 84-man squad, local people including Coach Jenson, admits that they ran in lots of men, but for the most part they were members of the offensive and defensive units. Coach Dave Jenson says that things will be different this Friday, when his Rams return to the Parowan field for thei 1 first home game, with the Milford Tigers. Although Dav. says he will go about the sarm way as last wek, the player; with that game's experienc( is determined to correct the costly mistakes they made in that game. The Friday game will be played on the Parowan field under the lights, and promises to be a good game betwen two more evenly balanced squads. With the openinw of school an additional ten men have joined the PHS team, and will be of benefit to it. |
