"The Odd Couple", hilarious stage production is being presented this week at Southern Utah State College. This scene includes, left to right Don Bil-derback, Bil-derback, Larry McTear, Norm Robinson, Robin-son, Clark Chamberlain, Dale Jensen and Dave Lister. 'Odd Couple' playing at SdJSC I iN'eil Simon's hilarious comedy come-dy hit the local scene as Southern Utah play-goers enthusiastically en-thusiastically received the first Campus Community Theatre production of the Year. The play opened Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at the SUSC campus. The odd couple, Oscar and Felix, portrayed by Dave Lister List-er and Clark Chamberlain, cry. laugh, argue, slouch and dust their way through the trauma and conflict of two ! people trying to get along un-I un-I dcr one roof when both are on the way to divorce and of two completely different temper-H t ment-;. 1 j Conflicts arise concerning everything from linguini to poker chips. The poker playing cronies of Oscar and Felix add turmoil with every deal of the cards and combine antics ranging from ranting bore to sobbing milktoast. In total, Neil Sim-' Sim-' on's comedy genius becomes j extremely contagious. The "buddies" are played by Don ; Bildcrback, Larry McTear, Dale Jensen and Norm Robin-, Robin-, son. Rounding out the production and adding te only feminin touch arc Gwendolyn an' Cecily Tidgeon (Karen Keyt and Shcri Slade) who ar moved by the plight of tid: Felix and take him tmde: their protective wing. The play, directed by Pau" Vorkink and student dircctec by Carol Mathis plays through Saturday evening. Curtair time is 8:15 p.m. at the SUSC Auditorium. Tickets are $2 fo' Adults and $1 for students. SUSC students are admitted free with their activity cards. |
