Show Funeral services Monday for Oliver Ghas. Jenson Funeral services honoring Oliver Charles Jenson, 77, were held Monday June 28 at the Cedar Eleventh Ward Chapel. He died June 26 at the Valley View Medical Center of natural causes. Speaker at the services was Richard C. Morris with a eulogy eul-ogy presented by Rulon Wood and remarks by Bp. Mark Robinson, who conducted. Family prayer was offered by Robert McBride, invocation was by Albert Adams, benediction bene-diction by Preston Wood and the dedication of the grave at the Cedar City cemetery wa.s by Rulan Woodbury. Military honors for the Veteran of World War I were provided by WWI Veterans organization. or-ganization. Musical selections included a vocal solo, "Hills of Home" by Howard Knight; a vocal solo, "The Lord's Prayer," by Sue Jenson and vocal trio, consisting of Lula Irons, Colleen Col-leen Blake, and Lorene Pratt singing "Abide With Me." Prelude and postlude music was provided by Mrs. Shirley Cowan. He was a member of the LDS Church and spent his life in ranching. He was born March 21, 1894 in Cedar City, to Heber C. and Laura Wood Jensen. Married Ellen Smith, Nov. 16, 1923 in the St. George Temple. Survivors include his widow; wid-ow; son and daughters: Jay O., Mrs. Robert W. (Audrey) McBride, both Cedar City; Mrs. Laura Jo Walker, Paro-wan. Paro-wan. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Clair Faun Higbee, Cedar City.' |
