Cover Sand cames in ahead of Mama Bell in a 7-furlong race at the Beaver Bea-ver JC meet on June 18. Craig Stubbs is the owner, his father, Howard Stubbs, is trainer and Les Hulet is rider, all of Parowan. Red Hill Wranglers invite area residents to July 3 and 5 Race Meets and Rodeos other rodeo events for the men. Contestants wishing to enter en-ter the rodeo may do so at the Parowan race track July 5 to 2 p. m.. Entries will be filled on a first come, first served basis with drawings to be held in the events that overfill. Horsemen who wish to enter en-ter their horses in the races may do so on July 2 and 3 at 7 p. m. in the Parovvan Library Lib-rary Lounge. The Parowan track offers a large grandstand, clean rest rooms, good concession booths and ample parking. Bring the family and spend the July 4 week end in Parowan The Parowan race track and rodeo grounds is the center of much activity as the Red Hill Wranglers prepare for their 19th annual Race Meet and Rodeo to be held on the July 4 weekend. One of the biggest shows in southern Utah, the race meet offers the public two afternoons of entertainment en-tertainment for the whole family. The Wrangler's July 4 show and the Iron County Fair are the only two in the area that offer horse racing and rodeo in the same afternoon after-noon with the admission price the same as is usually charged charg-ed for either one or the other. On Saturday, the Wranglers will feature a full card of racing rac-ing with equestrian games to entertain between races. They will include the ever popular musical chairs on horsback; and the clothing race where four or five men race down the arena and don their wives clothes and race back. Monday will feature a full day of horse racing plus a complete amateur rodeo, with bulls, broncs and all the trimmings. trim-mings. There will be barrel racing for the ladies and all |
