Show Adams group here for opening, of Shakespeare plays I Coming from northern Utah last week to attend the opening open-ing of the Utah Shakespearean Shakespear-ean Festival and dedication of the new building housing the event, were Mr. and Mrs, Obert C. Tanner of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Alice A. Ballinger, of Ogden and Mrs. Beatrice A. Johnson, her daughter De-bra De-bra and the latter's girl friend, Shirley Ann Thomas of Kaysville. Kays-ville. The Festival theatre was dedicated to the memory of the former Thomas and Luella R. Adams, Will L. Adams, and the Adams Plavers. a theatre cal troupe from Parowan, who toured southern Utah in the early clays. The Tanners were the principal donors of funds to build the theatre and the dedicatory prayer was offered by D. Watson. Adams, son of Will L. Adams, director of the theatrical group. After witnessing the opening open-ing play, they remained to attend the Friday night presentation pre-sentation of "King Lear" with a grandson of the honored couple and a son of Mrs. Carol Car-ol A. Wright, Wm. Wright, in the title role. |
