Show If .kk J MRS. MYRTLE ABBOTT Funeral services honor Susann M. Abbott Funeral services were held Tuesday . at the ' Paragonah Ward Chaipel for Susann Myrtle Myr-tle Robinson Abbott, 81, who passed away Saturday, July 29 at the home of her son Myron, My-ron, following a long illness. Mrs. Abbott was toornr Dec. 20, 1890 in Paragonah to Thorn-as Thorn-as and. Susann Adams Top-ham Top-ham Robinson. She married Samuel Abbott May -6, 1914 in the St. George LDS Temple. He died Feb. 6, 1957. A livelong resident of Paragonah Para-gonah she was active in the LDS Church and in community affairs. Her life sketch was given at the services by Idella Robinson Robin-son and Howard D. Knight was the speaker. Family prayer pray-er was offered toy Paul Butter-field. Butter-field. Invocation was by Elliott El-liott Abbott and the benediction benedic-tion was (bv 'Lee Abbott. Dedi- cation of the .grave at the Paragonah Para-gonah cemetery was by Thomas Thom-as R. Abbott. Services were conducted by Bishop Myron Abbott, her son. The Ward choir, under the direction of Amasa Stones and accompanied by Melva Barton sang .two selections, "Oh My Father," and "Abide With Me, Tis Eeventide." Other musical numbers included in-cluded a vocal duet by Becky Abbott and James Rasmussen and a number, "Whispering Hope" toy nieces. Prelude and postlude music was by Mrs. Barton. Mrs. 'Abbott is survived by two sons and three daughters: Myron W. Abbott and Mrs. Frank (Orilila) Lister, both of Paragonah; Mrs. Howard (Em-ma) (Em-ma) Rasmussen, Parowan; Mrs. Paul (Carol) Butterfleld, Ogden and Thomas R, Abbott, Richfield. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren grand-children and six great-grandchildren. |
