Show led Eleanor back to Salt Lake City by plane to visit with a daughter and son. Mr. and Mrs. Bryner Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Neils Neil-sen Neil-sen visited with a daughter of the Woods, Miss Dianne Wood, also a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Rex Wood at Salt Lake City, after attending the Lions convention. Dianne has finished finish-ed her beauty school training at Provo and is now working in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Phelps and daughter, Winell Bracken visited in Layton with their . son, Wilburn Phelps and family fam-ily before returning home from the Lions Convention. Living In The Escalante Valley Keys, Marie Phelps, Alice i Hansen and Betty Bracken. Door prize was won by Pat Moyle. Refreshments were served ser-ved by the hostess. The previous pre-vious meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Mary Moyle with Mrs. Moyle and Francis Piper and Mrs. Lynn Piper as hostesses. VALENTINE DANCE A Velentine Dance was sponsored spon-sored by at the Community Center by the Escalante Valley Val-ley PTA Saturday evening February 10. Refreshments were served and the hall was beautifully decorated with a Valentine theme. HERE AND THERE Visitors at the home of Mrs. Edith Force through the week end were her son, Howard and family, who flsw from Rialto, California. A daughter, Eleanor Elean-or Hartman, and a friend who flew from Salt Lake City; a daughter, Eloise White and two sons of Milford were also al-so here. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dotson, and Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Dotson joined the group from Pana-ca. Pana-ca. Mrs. Mary Bosch accompan- Mrs. Georgia Moyle LIONS CLUB The Escalante Valley Lions enjoyed a supper at the Garden Gar-den Valley Inn Feb. 14 in connection con-nection with their regular meeting before attending the Lions Mid-winter banquet in Salt Lake City. The Valley Lions Club was well represented represent-ed at the convention. WOMEN'S CLUB Members of the Escalante Valley Womens Club met at the home of hostess Alene I Smith on February 15. Secre-I Secre-I tary Pat Moyle, who is also ' quilt chairman showed the ladies a beautiful quilt to be used at the drawing at the club's annual smorgasbord party. At the close of the business busi-ness meeting the women enjoyed en-joyed reviewing their country's coun-try's history in game form. Prizes were won by Rahma' |
