Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY NEWS Mrs. Veda Matheson Miss Gail Grimshaw, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Grimshaw, Grim-shaw, spent a few days in Salt Lake City the latter part ; of last week attending an FHA Convention. Gail is the FHA President at Cedar High School this vear. son, Mrs. Shirlene Lowry and Mrs. Mauna Lewis. Mrs. Vilate Hyatt and Mrs. Verda Orton accompanied Elder El-der Blaine Hyatt when he visited vis-ited in Enoch on Sunday. Miss Connie Spsirs spent two days in Salt Lake City last week. Going from here to the funeral fun-eral services for Mavonnia Olds, held in Provo Thursday, were Gail and Judy Maxwell, Gary, Marlene and Karlene I Maxwell. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Maxwell were already in Provo ' and all returned for the ser- I vices and burial held in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Maxwell of California were also here for the Olds funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Chapman Chap-man and baby spent the week end in Monroe, Utah, visiting with Nancy's grandmother and other family members. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Foster and Ralph Hanzon were visited visit-ed over the week end by Mr. Hanzon's sister, Mrs. Gertrude Olswang. Enjoying a trip to Salt Lake City to work in the genealogical genealog-ical library were five ladies from the class taught by Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wilcken. Those making the trip were Mrs. Cleone Wilcken, Mrs. Veda Matheson, Mrs. Louise Mathe- Boyd Matheson, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Matheson, celebrated his birthday Thurs-I Thurs-I day of last week with a spe-i spe-i cial dinner party. Sharing the birthday with Boyd was Dennis Den-nis Chapman. Guests attending attend-ing besides Dennis and Nancy Chapman and baby Caroline, were Mr. and Mrs. Clint Matheson Ma-theson and baby Alan, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pace and children child-ren Lee and Kathy, and Boyd's grandparents from Parowan, Par-owan, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Matheson were in Salt Lake on business last Wednesday. Mrs. Elaine Nelson and I Kristine were in Salt Lake City Ci-ty the latter part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Matheson Mathe-son received a visit Monday from Louise's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warren and children of Mc-Gill Mc-Gill Nev. Mrs. Rua Jones is in the Valley Val-ley View Medical Center recovering re-covering from surgery. |
