Show Sgt. Goodnow Now Serving at Arctic Test Site U. S. ARMY ARCTIC TEST Center, Alaska, Feb. 8 Army Ar-my Sergeant First Class Robert Rob-ert C. Goodnow, 35, son of Mrs. Velma Goodnew of Parowan, Par-owan, is now assigned to the Arctic Test Center. Sgt. Goodnow is married to the former Miss Kathleen Mc-Clary Mc-Clary of St. George. The Center, located about 100 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Fair-banks, encompasses almost one million acres of rough terrain. ter-rain. It is here that tests are conducted to determine the suitability of U.S. Army equipment for use in an arctic arc-tic environment. During the winter at the Arctic Test Center, the temperature tem-perature may drop to minus 70 degrees and some of the highest wind velocities in Alaska, making this one of the coldest areas on earth.
