Show Recruiting Starts Now For Football Players Football season may be a long seven months away, but already College of Southern Utah football coach Tom Kingsford is beginning to smiie. "Our recruiting is going very good," Kingsford pointed out. "We are getting good responses re-sponses from some of the state's top high school players, play-ers, and we have some good junior college transfers now attending classes. Particularly pleasing to Kingsford is the list of transfers trans-fers now enrolled. Included are Larry Owen, 5-11, 175-pound 175-pound defensive halfback and Darwin Slad, 6-0, 185-pound quarterback, transfers from Dixie College; Tom Mclnesery, GilVSlO-pound defensive end from Chicago, and Monty Tag-gert, Tag-gert, 5-11, 195-pound offensive center from Ricks College. Bill McKane 6-2, 210-pound fullback-punter is also on campus. He was a standout two years ago for the Thunderbirds Thund-erbirds before he left on a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints mission. "We are beginning to get the talent it takes to weld a top football club," Kingsford said. |
