Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mr. and Mrs. Dclton Bettridge and family of Salt Lake City visited vis-ited in Cedar City last week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bettrldge and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bauer. Dinner for the family was prepared pre-pared at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Payne and was served to Mr. and Mrs. Quinn Jones and children. Kandy and Sherry, who were here from Corona, Calif. Others Joining the Jones family group for the day were York and Larry Jones along with their wives and children. On Thanksgiving Mrs. Arvilla Marsden served dinner to her daughter, Barbara Jean, and family, fam-ily, Dr. Kendell Jones and Steven, Teresa and Lisa. For the occasion occa-sion the Joneses arrived Wednesday Wed-nesday evening by plane from Las Vegas. Arriving home after his release re-lease from military service was Kenneth Leigh and his wife. They were greeted by Kenneth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vermont Ashdown. Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Crittenden, students attending the College of Southern Utah, traveled to Oakley Oak-ley and Salt Lake City where they spent the Thanksgiving holiday ho-liday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Crittenden and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley E. Best. Thanksgiving eve, after the traditional Lions Club show, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thompson entertained enter-tained eight other couples at their home during an informal social. Mr. and M's. "Jill Dockstader of Billings, Mont., and their two children spent the holiday with Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Dockstader and with Bill's sister, Pat and brother-in-law, Richard Clark. Taking a holiday trip to Cal-fornia Cal-fornia were Mr. and Mrs. Donald West and their five children. In edition to touring Disneyland and Newport Beach, where they enjoyed surfing, the family visit- ed in Fullerton with Mrs. West's sister at the Norman Cardall home. They also visited Don's sister and her husband, the Bond Benhalters of Brea, Calif., and with Mrs. West's brother. Dale Robison and his wife. Enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday were Mr. and Mrs. Stan-Icy Stan-Icy Shakespeare who took their children with them to St. George where they visited with relatives. An enjoyable Thanksgiving Day was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bradshaw of Cedar City. The Bradshaws were surprised by their daughter, Dorothy, and her husband. Stay-ner Stay-ner L. Thompson, of .Brigham who arrived to spend the holiday. The Thompsons were acompanied here by their three children. For j the occasion the Bradshaws were t hosts to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence! Miller, Gail Bradshaw and 'Mr.' and Mrs. Robert Bradshaw. While ( Mr. and Mrs. Stayner Thompson were here they enjoyed flying to Glen Canyon with Robert J Bradshaw. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rowley last week included in-cluded Mrs. Rowley's brother, Leonard Robison, and Mr. Rowley's Row-ley's sister, Shirley and brother in-law, Lyle Evans. Mr. and Mrs. Evans of Price, also visited with the Warren Munford family while they were In southern Utah. Mrs. Lee Thompson and two daughters traveled to California this past week where they spent the holiday with Mrs. Thompson's Thomp-son's sisters in the Los Angeles area. Home for the festivities Thursday Thurs-day were members of the Orville Isom family. From Salt Lake City visiting during their school vacafion were Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Dal-las Isom and son, Mathew, along with Miss Harriet Ann Isom and Jon Isom. All of the former Cedar City people are attendlnp the University of Utah. Jon and Dallas are in Law school there and Harriet Ann is enrolled as a Biological Science major. Also with the Isoms for Thanksgiving were their son, Richard, who recently re-cently returned from Germany, and Mrs. Isom's mother. Mrs. Harriet Woodbury of St. George. The holiday season proved to I to be enjoyable for several Cedar jCity people who traveled out-of-town to be with relatives. Spending Spend-ing Thanksgiving in Antimony were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mid-dleton Mid-dleton and children. The Middle-tons Middle-tons were guests of Garfae's father, fa-ther, Charles Riddle. Visiting at their daughter's home in Las Vegas were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Corry. In Hurricane Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Manning spent the day with Mrs. Manning t sisters and her parents. Motoring to Orem were the Garth Webster family. Thoy enjoyed the holiday with Mi Webster's sister, Toni, and her husband Richard Hunter. Mr. land Mrs. Robert Ward and two children visited in Richfield with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ward and with Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Ains-worth. Ains-worth. The Wards were happy to tsee Mr. Ward's sister, Dorothy, and her husband, Lle Labrum, jwho had arrived from Canada for the traditional November holiday. ho-liday. Other Cedar City residents who spent the holiday out of-town of-town were Mr. and Mrs. George Rhodes who were with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Cox In St. George, and Mr. and Mrs. Elsworth Flanl-gan Flanl-gan and family drove to Wyoming Wyom-ing to be with their daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smith of Ogden made a holiday trip home to be with Jerry's family at the J. Vurge Smith residence. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dover greeted greet-ed family members who arrived in Cedar City for Thanksgiving. The day was enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hirschi of Sunset, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Dover of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Osborn of Blanding. In town to enjoy the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving activities were Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Wade of Nevada. They divided teir time with LaVar's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Wade, and with Kay's parents. pa-rents. Mr. and Mrs. West Seeg-miller. Seeg-miller. Visiting with Elene Jenson last week was her son. Garth and daughter-in-law, Helen, and the children who had arrived to spend Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Adam Seepmiller were in Salt Lake City last week where they spent Wednesday 'til Saturday visiting with their sons Robert and Gam and his family. The Seegmillers enjoyed the holiday ho-liday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gam Seegmiller. |
