Show Coordinating Council Will Promote Study Groups on" Great Decisions" The Cedar City Coordinating Council recently announced that the organization would under-take under-take the promotion of the study groups in the community. In the program of "Great Decisions for 196-1." According to Mrs. Marian Ha- hne, coordinator, materials are now being prepared arid leaders on a state-wide basis will be made available to help promote the study program with foreign policy early in 1964. Great Decisions is an annual nationwide review of important decisions of the nation and its people. It is a nonpartisan Fact Sheet presentation used to encourage en-courage constructive discussion and Opinion Ballots. It Is expected that this year hundreds of thousands of Americans Amer-icans will be taking part in the program, Mrs. Hahne said. Any group already organized looking for a study topic for the 1964 year or any group of from five to 15 people interested in gathering together to participate In such a program, have been asked by the Coordinating Council Coun-cil to consider the program "Great Decisions for 1964." I:; an effort to make the study kits available withou; cost to those Interested the Kennecott Copper Corporation and the Des-eret Des-eret News have announced that on the week of January 19, 1964 the study material will be published pub-lished in the Deseret News and may be clipped and used during the course of study. Mrs. Hahne this weekend will be in Salt Lake City to participate partici-pate in a conference at which further details of the program will be outlined and resource people will be announced that will assist Cedar City and other areas in instituting the "Great Decisions" program. |
