Show Wei ilk flvi Club Stages Year-End Party at Airport Cafe Reflecting on the joys of Christmas and the past year and anticipating the times to be enjoyed en-joyed as friends in the New Year, the Wei Ak Avl ladies and their husbands and guests en- Joyed a holiday social at the Airport Cafe. I Adding a festive holiday note to the occasion were the lovely decorations tastefully using Christmas boughs, balls, and bells. A beautiful candelabra gave the final touch of elegance to the dinner table. Following the delicious steak dinner and in keeping with the holiday spirit, a group of the club lad'es read the Christmas playlet, "No Room ' at the Inn". Tying in the old year with the new, the carols of i Christmas were sung with "Old Lang Syne" ending the song fest 1 Bringing a gay note to the occasion, oc-casion, Mrs. Parson U. Webster cleverly presented to members of the group precious items that had long been missing from their personal belc ".rjings. This portion of the program proved to be most enjoyaul?, espec!!y to those who?c treasures were returned. Lending further enjoyment were Parson Webster, Lorin Miles, Jim Urie, and Lent Jones as they sang a group of comedy songs. Climaxing the hour of fun the oldtime play "Blue Beard" was enacted in pantomime by several of the Wei Ak Avt members. This portion of the program was under un-der the direction of Mrs. Lehi Jones. As wishes for a Happy New Year were voiced praises were also al-so sung to Mrs. Mcl Cowley, Mrs. Wilford Webster and Mrs. Rumen Ru-men Jones who were responsible for the evening of fun which was the highlight of the holiday season sea-son for all attending. |
