Show Parowan High School News Notes An adult class in woodwork will get under way on Wednesday, Wednes-day, Jan. 13 in the Industrial arts department of the Parowan High School. The class will run from 7 to 11 p. m. each Wednesday and will be taught by G. D. Van Ausdal. Gilbert Mitchell, Parowan student stu-dent who Is finishing his work this spring to get his bachelor's degree from USU in Logan, is now doing his teacher training under Mr. Van Ausdal at the high school. Mitchell will receive his B.S. degree from the Logan Institution In-stitution in June. The 11th and 12th grade girls In the homemaking department at the high school are beginning begin-ning a three weeks course on mother and child care. The class is being sponoser by the Red Cross and Alice Barton, Iron County health nurse is the Instructor. In-structor. The girls' Intra-mural program pro-gram at the high school will get under way next week, with all girls interested in sports to participate. par-ticipate. Wednesday night has been set aside for the program with volleyball, dodge ball, kick pin and duck ring to be played. Girls' basketball, precision marching and dancing are the scheduled activities for the girls phys ed dept. for the coming six weeks. These sports activities will be directed by Mrs. John Dalton. The new arts studio which was created out of the ceramics room is now finished and the students have moved in. Parents and patrons pa-trons are invited to corns and visit the studio and view the fine paintings being done by the art students. |
