Show Funeral Services Held For George Stevens Funeral services were held on Friday, Aug. 6, for George Stevens, Stev-ens, retired farmer and livestock-man livestock-man of this city, who died on Tuesday from causes incident to age. Services were held In the Second Ward chapel with Bishop Rupert S. Hulet conducting and Miss Ruth Ann Knight at the organ or-gan for prelude and postlude music. Speakers were Leonard Evans and Joseph E. Ward, with opening open-ing remarks by Bishop Hulet. The prayer at tr" home was by D. L. Riding. The Invocation was given by Arnold Stevens, the benediction benedic-tion by Owen Hullinger and the grave in the Parowan City cemetery, ceme-tery, was dedicated by Hillman Stevens. The musical program included the opening song "Oh, My Father" Fath-er" by a mixed quartet consisting consist-ing of Clair Rowley, Karl Thurber, Thur-ber, Rulan Dalton, Robert Wilcock, Wil-cock, Alta Lilywhite, Carol Farnsworth, Farns-worth, Arvilla Halterman and Anna Lyman; a vocal solo. "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine", by Robert Wilcock and a vocal duet, "In the Garden", by Helen Whit ney and Marian Hyatt Pallbearers were Lloyd and Gary Davis, Mack Dalton, Alfred Wilcock, George and Clair Ward. Carrying flowers were Bonnie, Connie and Holly Ann Wood, Allison, Al-lison, Tamara and Dianne Davis. Diana and Betty Stubbs and Emily Rhodes. |
