Show Parowan Literary Club Steps Up Activities I Holiday social activities for the! Parowan Literary Club included! two special events, the gift box party and the New Year's dinner party. The home of Mrs. J. Lowe Barton Bar-ton in Paragonah was the setting for the Christmas program and gift box party. This was held Wednesday evening, Dec. 21. Mrs. Wilson Lund was co-hostess. The Barton home was beautifully beauti-fully decorated In the Christmas theme. The evening was spent enjoying Christmas music contributed con-tributed by Mrs. Boyd Robinson and Mrs. Barton. A Christmas story was read by Mrs. Wm. Boardman after which the club members exchanged gifts. Wednesday evening, Dec. 28, ' club members entertained their I husbands at a New Year's dinner party. This event was held at the E. Ray Lyman home with Mrs. Max Hendrickson acting as chairman of the committee. Mrs. Herman E. Bayles, chairman chair-man of the project committee for the club, has reported that the clothes drive was very successful. suc-cessful. Several large boxes of good clothes were collected and sent to Utah State Hospital In Provo. The club sincerely thanks Milne Truck Line for collecting these clothes and transporting I them to the hospital. This service ser-vice was rendered free of charge. |
