Show 1 - rrjjjrrr.,1 Broncos Take Measure of Antelope Valley An 88 point output by the College Col-lege of Southern Utah Broncos Tuesday evening was suffic-clent suffic-clent to post the fourth win of the season for Coach Cleo Petty, and his crew as they defeated Antelope Valley 88 to 76. Jumping jack Earl Severance The CSU-Casper game will be broadcast over KSUU Thursday at 7:30 p. tn. J paced the Broncos in the win with 16 points in the first half of play. Early In the game he hit shot after shot to put the Broncos in the lead, a lead that they maintained throughout the game. Moving to an early lead the Broncos had a 12 point spread near the quarter mark, but a full court press by the visitor reduced that to Just four points seconds before the half at 45 to 41 and two foul pitches gave the Broncos Just a six point margin at half time 47 to 41. A well rounded scoring attack A well rounded scoring attack in the second half kept the Broncos Bron-cos in the lead and they continued con-tinued on to a 12 point victory. Severance was high for the Broncos Bron-cos with 20 points followed by Eric Gardner with 18. Three others oth-ers hit the double figures including in-cluding Bob Gardner with 12, and Dennis Belliston and Gary Shumway each with 10 points. Every members of the Bronco squad got into the scoring column. col-umn. Other scoring for the Broncos Bron-cos was as follows: Ron Van-Wagenen, Van-Wagenen, 5; Kenyon Clark, 2; Dave Voegele, 7, and Ken Mack-ay, Mack-ay, 4. High scoring honors went to Harry Star of Antelope Valley with 24 points for the evening. |
